Wow. Today has been hard. I am trying to get a lot of thesis writing done but I keep on getting distracted. For the past week I have had problems getting focused. After I did my presentation I think my subconscious wants me to take a break. Its weird, sometimes I think that I need some stress to getting me working efficient. Now that the pressure really isn't on, I keep on getting distracted by random shit. The lady has been gone now for over a week traveling with her sister on the South Island. It sounds like they have been having a good time and getting a lot of things done. When they get back I will put some pics up on my MSN myspace. It seems easier to upload pics too. Oh ya, I watched "The Worlds Fastest Indian" last night. Anthony Hopkins was outstanding. It is about Burt Munroe, the fanatical motorcycle legend and his trip from New Zealand to the US to take part in the world land speed championships on the salt flats in Utah. It hasn't been released in the US yet but comes out in limited theaters on December 9th. Hopkins may be a dark horse for the Oscars with his performance. It is a definite must see.
The Bruins of Boston have traded their franchise player to San Jose for basically nothing. If I were a Bruins fan I would be fuming. The Bruins now don't have a top first line center. I always think that whoever gets the best player in the trade, wins the trade. No matter how many quality players you get it still doesn't create a franchise player. However, haha I am missing out of the playoffs in my fantasy pool team right now. I am leading my other pool though.
So to update on some of the news I put up yesterday. Remember the lady who had the first face transplant. Well I guess the Dr. Didn't follow procedure and violated the ethics law and process to do this surgery. Apparently the woman who received the treatment is psycologically unfit to receive the treatment and the doctor didn't heed to the advice the the ethics committee. This could be interesting story over the next while.
Also, a Welch inventor has stopped loitering outside of convenience stores by playing high pitch Mosquito sounds to stop teenagers from hanging out and intimidating legitimate customers. Since younger people can recognize the higher pitch frequency, while older people can not, it seems to work effectively without harming business. I know that I hate the sound of a mosquito buzzing around your ear. For some reason those things know how to wake you up just before you fall asleep.
If you have ever been asked a question that you didn't know the question to. Men's Health has a rather interesting and usable column on how to wing it under those stressful situations. My the bullshiting begin.
I'm off to play some golf. It could be interesting since I haven't used my membership in months. Will let you know of the results later. Ciao
