This past week has been really busy. I had a meeting with my supervisors and the thesis and finally I can see the end. I should have finished another draft sometime this week...Sweet! Snarl has been away and I have had the house to myself but I haven't really been able to enjoy the piece and quiet. I have been invited over to dinner to friends place three times last week and I worked at the bike store 4 of the days. I do kinda like being able to do what ever I want though and I like that the house isn't a mess. I am really looking forward to getting a place of our own. I set up some online sales at the bike store and the response has been quite huge. The boss is trying to sell off some old stock and the demand has been a lot greater than expected. It is nice to do something different.
I guess I am kinda rambling here but I read today that an Australian woman was killed in a shark attack yesterday near Brisbane. I guess this lady was attacked by a pod of bull sharks which is quite weird because they usually only get aggressive during the mating season. The detail they talk about reminded me of the days when I was at UBC and would look at shark attack pics with Kristin...But lest I digress. Ya, to top this off, the attack happened at Amity Point near North Stradebroke Island. If you are wondering why this is weird it name of the fictional place in the Jaws movies! It is kinda worrisome though because Me and Snarl are heading there in 10 days! I was planning on doing a lot of swimming, surfing, and diving (to see sharks) but they have a lot of the beaches closed in the area for fear of another attack. It also Damn you Jaws...Why do you have have to make your return just when I am going on a holiday!
