Life knowing nothing

I have been at my job as a corporate analyst now for 2 months now. I really don't know where the time has gone. I have learnt a lot so far and it excites me, and scares me, at how much I still have to know. I would just like to drop a few words of wisdom that I have picked up so far.

1. There are no friends in business.
2. People who know the price of everything, know the value of nothing
3. When researching, start with what your good at. This will make you comfortable and give you and idea what to do next.
4. When you feel a sence of urgency, slow down and do it right.
5. There are no friends in business.

Hey Ryan...I've just decided to start reading your blog...I definitely like your advice on the research...that's what I'm doing with mine...as for no friends in business...unfortunately I am becoming a bit jaded and even sometimes think that friends are fleeting whether in business or not...if there is no benefit, then there is no friend. Perhaps I should start a blog...if for nothing else but to capture all my weird and wondrous thoughts that go flying through my head. Thanks for sharing with us. Cheers. Rox.

The whole "no friends in business things" has been one that I am learning rather quickly. From the stories that my boss has told me and my short lived experiances in the corporate world have captured exactly what you said, "no benefit, no friend". You learn fairly quickly who has your back and who has a need and agenda.
