The Weekend

Woke up this morning and went for my big run. I ended up running a little over 13km in 1hr 15 min. Definitely not a great time but I was really just concerned about making the distance without stopping. The speedwork is going to be happening soon so these times should be dropping. I as pretty stiff so I went for a good walk and stretched this afternoon. I took a bunch of pics so of the neighborhood and the link is now updated. I have a game tonight but we are playing our b-team. We should slaughter them. Yup, I think they are lubing up at the moment. My game last night was canceled because all the rain caused for the rink to flood. No good at all.

I remembered what I was going to write about last night. On Thursday morning we had a Sunami warning! The problem was that no one new about. There was a large 7.8 earthquake near Tonga that had supposedly caused a sunami that would hit NZ and Fiji. The media got onto it quite fast and started on the story while everyone in NZ was sleeping. This was over blown and the warning was all for not. Its a good thing too because the failure of the government to notify people, either if it was false or true, was totally mishandled. I would have been in so much trouble having a flat on the beach. I was also running along the beach when it was supposed to hit. I didn't have a clue until I got back and saw it on the news while I was eating breakfast. Its a good thing that it didn't happen because I would have been fucked. It makes me worry too that I haven't bought any flat insurance yet...Do ya think its a sign?
