Well I have spent the majority of the day marking final exams. For those of you who have never completed the task you aren't missing anything. To be honest it makes me want to go back in time and learn the skill of legible handwriting....Anyways I digress to inform you of some of the news I have read in between task at hand:
1: For those of you obsessed with political comment the Washington Post discussed the possibility of "Scooter" Libby of taking the blame for the CIA operative leak so that Mr. Dick Cheney wouldn't be in trouble...All the evidence points to fact that Cheney told "Scooter" about the CIA operative (reporters, Scooter's own notes) but for some reason he thinks he heard is somewhere else. Hmmm something doesn't fit here.

2. While George W is willing to go to war around the world to implement American ideals and values he is neglecting many civil rights issues within the US. Since his administration was sworn in the civil rights enforcement took a sharp decline. The Bush administration has filed only 3 lawsuits (all of which are this year) under the voting rights act that prohibits the discrimination against minority voters. Coincidently, none of them involved black complainants. The initial case was the Justice Department's first reverse-discrimination lawsuit, accusing a majority-black county in Mississippi of discriminating against white voters!

Ok enough with the political rants...how about those Canucks. They beat Detroit for the second time this season. Bert finally had the breakout game that he needed. Since he has been playing like a pussy so far this season a hat trick should be a good boast of confidence. From what I have been reading the media of Van has been ragging on him pretty hard. For him to be effective he has to use his size and strength to create opportunities for himself and the rest of his line. It must be difficult coming back and doubting the way you play the game. He just has to get back to using his size and strength to create holes, not to hurt people. Once he gets that in his mind day to day he is going to be the machine he was 18 months ago.
OK more tests to mark...woohoo
