So Its 2006 You Say

So here in NZ its now 2006....That's seems kinda weird because it seems like only yesterday everyone was freeking out about Y2K. Hmm Oh how have these past 6 years flown by. Well last night Char and I went for dinner at Diddy and Sara's with Grandpa and Christina. Dinner was awesome and Diddy was cocktail making machine. I had a good time but kinda zoned out for a while when everyone was talking about weddings...haha. Anyways after dinner we went into town and Fur Patrol put on a free concert. It was mental..I think that half of Palmerston North was there. It was a dry concert in the city square which made it hard to find beer but really enjoyable because there wasn't really any idiots. They put on a great act but I really only new a couple of there songs. I am loving having a digital camera and I will be putting up some pics on my picture link if you care. They will probably get up there some time this week or so. After all the fireworks and Auld Lang Sign I came home. Snarl had gone to bed because she had to milk cows again this morning. That part time job has been a fun wrecker all holidays but we will reap the rewards in Australia in 3 weeks. I am really looking forward to catching some sunshine and having a great time. But I am going to be soooo busy until then. Hopefully now that the holidays are over I can get some more regular posting again.

Read in the news today about the US's apparent play to invade Canada to protect themselves from the Brits...hmmm what really would that have changed. I guess Celine Dion wouldn't have gotten so popular, and Wal Mart would have been there sooner but I can't really see the huge impact it would have made...I guess I would be hated here in NZ rather than being adored haha.

This summer I have been trying to learn to play guitar and so far it has gone to shit. I can play about the first 6 bars of nothing else matters and then nothing. But, since I am trying to learn from the internet I am a big fan of tabs and free lessons. However, apparently the music industry has now filed lawsuits to kill the website MX Tabs and try to stop people from printing off song lyrics. Seriously...Sometimes you just want to learn and this has gone to far.

Haha...Oh ya the news down here has been all over this guy who got the top of his head chopped off by a helicopter blade and didn't notice. "Getting whacked in the head by a helicopter rotor blade doesn't hurt – but it probably means you've "mucked up", Johnny Lowe reckons. Jesus, how tough are you! Apparently it doesn't hurt as much as falling off your motor bike at high speeds (which he has done multiple times as well). Fuck, this guys gets the hard man of the year award from me.
