Walk the Line

So I went and saw "Walk the Line" yesterday and loved it. I thought that the story line was outstanding and the singing of Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix was phenomenal. It is definitely a must see. I never thought that a biography of a country music star could be so captivating. It is really in the same genre as "Ray" but overall I thought the movie was better. Back when I was little I was a Johnny Cash fan...My dad used to play his songs on our 8 track player. Oh ya we had an 8 track. "Ring of Fire" was my favorite then and I still think that it is possibly his best song. I do really like his version of the NIN song "Hurt" too but I really can't say that it is a Cash song.

Well while I was waiting for the movie I picked up an icecream from I'm sure is the best icecream ever. The place is called Movenpick and the line up to get any service is ridiculous...You have to wait at least 25 minutes to get your order. Oh but it is worth it....That creamy goodness in a giant waffle cone...Mm I want some now.

My vow to not binge drink was all good this weekend. There were little devil Irish leprechauns hopping around on my shoulder tempting me to get plastered but it was all good. I had a few social drinks in celebration of St. Patrick with my flatmates. I forgot hard it is to socialize without being half cut. I really do like how it loosens me up but I waking up on the weekend all blazing and ready to go is great. Go Team Detox. On a similar note my early rising running routine is in full force. Oh ya I'm a machine. I have been getting up early and cranking out 8-10km 4 days a week. I think that I am through the first hurdle and getting into a decent routine but my calves are still screaming at me. I do like the pain though, it makes me fell like I'm actually working. So all you lazy bastards who have excuses I have two words for you.... "Get Hard".
