The end of a long, dark, paper filled tunnel

Well I am in the last of 1200 exam papers to mark...Although that is still a few hours worth of work the end is near. Two weeks ago I was ready to shoot myself in the face after seeing how much there was to do. Thank god it is almost over without much hassle. I did though have a small discussion with a bitch of a Professor over "giving away marks"...and making me go through about 200 again and remark one of her questions. I was being lenient over one of the questions because of the variety of answers. There were quite a few students who looked like they were going to fail badly and I figured that there really isn't much difference between 4/10 than 2/10. Really I don't think those "sympathy" marks would have been the difference to these students, Its not like I was writing B+ at the top of everyone's papers and hitting up the pub to watch the game. Anyways I am done marking for the death whore anyways so I guess I don't have to worry about that again.

Here are some of the things that struck me while reading the news this morning, enjoy!

1. Apparently I Pod porn is big business. Since I don't have one at the moment because electronics are obscenely expensive in New Zealand. I have failed to recognize the whole in the marketplace for viewing a Dirty Sanchez or and any moment. I think that while the screens on digital media devices like IPOD's and cell phones can view them, is it really all that enjoyable. I can just see it now, roid man at the gym getting pumped and warming down on the bike watching a little 3 way. "Oh my god those boobies are huge"

2.Condoleezza Rice arrived arrived in the middle east last week in a suprise visit and it has looked like she has helped string together a deal between Palestine and Israel. While this administration has met considerable opposition abroad, she has been one of the few people to gain clout. Hmmm could there be an all African American Presidential campaign in 2008 between Obama and Rice. Ya....I think I'm dreaming

3. Cool Mom gets 30 years for throwing parties for her teenage boy. She supplied her son and his friends with alcohol, drugs, and strippers (and having sex with at least 5 of his friends) over a period of a few weeks. According to the report she was self conscious and wanted her kids to be "cool" and not experience being a dork in high school. Well now she can be happy because she has raised children who are lack authority and morals but are "cool". Good work dumbass.
