Hey there blog nation. I am having a pretty mental week, hence the infrequent updates. The thesis loose ends are all getting sorted and it looks like I will be done in a week or so. It is going to be so good when I hand it into the graduate research office. On top of all this I have had to do all the holiday planning on my own since the Snarlotte hasn't been home for the past 3 weeks. Well Visas are sorted, plane tickets confirmed, hotel and car rentals ready to go, and some of the events all planned and paid for Booyaa. Everything went well, without that much of a hiccup. Our flight got pushed back about 6 hours so now we lose one night in Surfers. We have to fly out at 1145 pm, which is totally gay, and lose a nice evening on the beach. Since we have a 7 hour drive to get to Auckland, it makes it a little less hectic on Sunday morning.
Well here I go on a tangent....How about that Ovechkin goal. All I can say is JESUS! One on one, falls down , sliding backwards away from the net and flicks a backhand out of his ass to score. That really has to be the goal of the year, if not the highlight reel play of all 2006! I am going to say it now. To be honest, it is one of the most amazing hockey goals I have ever seen. Anyways, I am definitely ranting and extremely jealous over not having ability like that. All I ever wanted to be was a hockey players, and somehow I didn't get there....hahaha. As of now, I'm sorry Syd, you ain't getting the rookie of the year.
Haha Castro is taunting the US over the baseball World Cup. I can't wait for the Cubans to lay some smack down. All these guys have is baseball and the US isn't making any friends trying to ban them from playing. Castro has said that any money the Cuban government receives as a result of the tournament will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I really think US government are really being idiots about the whole situation. If this tournament gets pulled because of US sanctions...shit is going to hit the fan.
Anyways, I have do a little work before I go and bask myself in the sunshine of the Gold Coast. This is the Miami of the southern hemisphere. We are planning on going to Wet and Wild water park, do a little SCUBA diving, go see Australia Zoo with the crazy croc hunter Steve Irwin, and a lot of swimming and chilling on the beach. We have a beach apartment for a week. Its gonna be fantastic! I really have to say thanks to Snarls parents for hooking us up with this. We really appreciate it. I will put up a ton of pics when I get back.
Cheers Mates
