Adventures in Babysitting

Firstly, I am in love with Wi Fi....I have it at work and at home and it has become my new best friend. I am basically online all the time...oh the madness. Anyways settling into the new routine and I am really enjoying the flat. Most mornings before work I have been getting up early and running along the beach. I am really amazed as to how many people are up, but the view is amazing and the path its great. All of a sudden I have ran 8 or 9 km and not really known...the only problem is that I have to get up earlier and earlier to keep this up. But if this continues I am going to be one ripped mother fucker. Oh ya

So last night I got home after work, made some dinner and had a few beers. I really haven't seen that much of the neighborhood so I decided to go on an adventure. Well I found this little pub along the water and popped in and watched the rugby. The game turned out to be awesome and I met an English couple who have just moved to NZ. After the game I headed down to along the beach and found a movie theater, a few cool restaurants and a couple nice beach bars. Well I stopped in to one that had a live cover band playing. I wandered around and had a beer and then had one of the wierdest experiances in ages. Well this older couple walked up to me and asked me if I would dance with their daughter and take her on a date because she doesn't have any friends. Well, I said that I would dance with her and then headed to the dance floor. Apparently their family had just moved here from South Africa. I talked for a bit and the dad came over , patted me on the back and bought me a beer. We chatted for a few minutes until the Dad said "Well treat my daughter right" and then just buggers off. Well I thanked him for the beer but politely told them that I had to go...I was so wierded out. Who's father just goes into a bar and tries to pawn off their daughter. So weird, so very very weird.
