After cleaning up our small 100 sq ft back yard I have decided to grow a small garden. I have been really motivated to cook with veges that come from my hard work. I remember how cool it was as a kid to have tones of lettuce, carrots, rhubarb, and berries all summer. I have been hooked on watching the Jamie Oliver cooking show and for those of you who know me, know that I like to cook Well I have planted some celery, spinach, lettuce, zucchini, beans, basil. I also decided to grow water melons. Apparently they take over 200 days to grow. Either way I am going to be a legend of the apartment complex with watermelons galore when summer roles around or nothing will happen. We already have a green pepper plant that grows peppers which is rad. I will give updates on how the garden is growing and any new recipes I put together. Oh ya oh ya I am getting excited.
