NZ Music

After being in NZ for a couple years to their music and culture. For the most part, NZ music is shit. I know that they don't like hearing it but bands like ELEMENOP are so bad, no matter how much you play them on the radio. However there are a couple of bands that are gems.

1. Pluto-this is a electro rock band from Dunedin who have just released their first album and the song "Long White Cross" would go to number 1 in any country. I have linked the video down below as my video of the week.

2. Op Shop-I went and saw these guys 2 years ago and went for a beer with the band. The singer Jason Kerrison is a great performer and a great guy. When the auditions for the new ROCKSTAR Supernova he went and made it through to LA and might be in the final 20. It would be cool to "know" someone in a band who made it big with legends Tommy Lee and Jason Neustadt.

3. The Feelers-Great rock band. I don't know why they haven't pushed to try go international as they have a great sound and their album are all great cover to cover.

4. Shihad (Pacifier) -These guys are enormous here in NZ. While their sound is a little heavy for me they are really talented. They gave the US a go back in 2002 as Pacifier with their headline song Pacifier. They got a little radio play but gave up and came home. This is the all time favorite band of Welsh band "The Lost Prophets". Their songs are always a favorite to any red blooded Kiwi male.
